Our “Halo K” Formula
-
Angus Genetics
We focus on marbling for health, flavor, tenderness, and taste. Grass-fed beef is healthier because of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), vitamins A, D, and E, enzymes, omega 3 to 6 ratios, and has fewer overall calories than grain-fed cattle from a feed yard. Intramuscular fat is developed and stored throughout the finishing process from calorically dense annual grasses. 14-day Dry Age Minimum: We dry age our meat for at least 14 days to break down muscle, tenderize the meat and offer the optimum cuts to customer specification.
-
Ethically Treated Happy Animals
Stress-free handling: We don’t use dogs. We don’t use cattle prods. We don’t use other stressful handling techniques. We don’t handle cattle when there is no need to. Our calves stay with their moms longer and are raised with their siblings. We use the State of Texas inspected facility to ensure humane treatment during processing, proper meat handling, and the highest levels of sanitation and cleanliness.
-
Natural Sustainable Environment
To produce the highest quality beef we must offer our cattle a consistent diet throughout the year. We utilize precipitation-fed stock tanks and have available nutritious grasses regardless of the season. We stock in a manner where the herd can be supported during periods of drought or extreme Texas heat. No preservatives, growth hormones, antibiotics, artificial coloring, or other unnatural additives. If one of our animals requires treatment, we take care of them and then remove them from our grass-fed program. Our cattle are always on grass so they require minerals, vitamins, and salt just like us. These supplements are offered “free choice” so they can enjoy them at their leisure while in the pasture. Cattle enjoy a happy and stress-free life. Happy cattle make more healthy and tender meat.
Pasture-raised animals: True farm-to-table experience.
